Handquilten im Zug - Handquilting in a Train: not mainstream! ;-)

Please scroll down for the English version.

----------------------------------------------

Aber was will man auch erwarten.

-----------------------------------------------

Before my last trip I asked myself whether it is possible to handquilt in a train?

The answer is: Yes, and it works quite well and this even in 2nd class. However, it is not a mainstream activity in trains (surprise!) and fellow travellers might be surprised. Especially when, in case of insufficient lighting in the evening, the headlamp (see picture below) comes into play.

Some guys (either in preparation for a stag night or for a football match or both) weren't able to identify the round, wooden object I use for handquilting as a form of embroidery hoop. At the end of the trip the asked whether I had finished my knitting. But what can you expect.

And now, there is no head lamp selfie...
