With its abstract, geometric “play with colour“, this six-part wall hanging once travels through the colour wheel and with the last panel the journey ends where it began. Horizontal and diagonal lines divide the surfaces and create shapes, some of which reach beyond the edges of the individual panels and find their continuation in the next part.
The selection and placement of the fabrics is particularly enjoyable in this project. Therefore, the fabric quantities given serve as an approximate guide. If you don‘t have enough different fabrics, ask your quilt friends if they let you browse through their scrap boxes. Fabric scraps, but also jelly rolls (these are colour-coordinated pre-cut fabric strips of 2½" x fabric width) are ideal for this project.
The pattern offers detailed instructions for
- choosing colours, cutting and piecing of the six individual panels
- the overall layout including suggestions for machine-quilting patterns
- all templates in 100% original size for printing and cutting

The ColourPlay II project consists of 6 individual panels each measuring ca. 16“ x 32“ (ca. 40 x 80 cm).
